School History

University Heights Nursery School was founded in 1976 and has been a parent-run volunteer cooperative for the past 45 years. What does a parent-run volunteer cooperative mean? It means that the governing body of our preschool is the Board of Directors, and it is 100% made up of moms and dads of students who attend our school. The Board of Directors are volunteer positions and we oversee the preschool and administer the month-to-month activities. It is an incredible blessing to be apart of a parent-run preschool because we all get to be involved, connected, and steer our school in a direction that is child, family and community focused.
